I would like to make you award of a meeting I’m holding on May 26 at the Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington St. W., regarding the newly proposed realignment of the transit tunnel.
Myself, accompanied by an internationally renowned transit engineer, will examine in detail the current issues with the recently introduced Downtown Ottawa Transit Tunnel (DOTT) environmental assessment at the community open house. The meeting will cover the proposed plan’s costs, station design, partnership opportunities, safety considerations, system integration (transfers), and boring methods.
The Tunney’s Pasture terminus location as opposed to Bayview and the current tunnel alignment are expected to be just some topics of discussion between among those in attendance.
As active and important residents/local members of government in Ottawa, I believe your opinions and thoughts on the issue would add much to the discussion. You can also bring your side of the issues to the table to help those who attend fully understand the effects of the proposed realignment.
WHAT: Councillor’s Transportation Master Plan consultation
WHEN: May 26, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m.
WHERE: Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington St.
Please let the office know if you would be able to attend.
Kind regards,
Christine Leadman
Kitchissippi Ward
