Community Dialogue on Economic Priorities / Un dialogue communautaire sur les priorités économiques

OTTAWA – Paul Dewar’s consultations with community groups and residents in Ottawa Centre on their priorities for the upcoming federal budget will wrap up on January 24, 2009 at a community dialogue held at the Bronson Centre.

The community dialogue will begin with a presentation by top economist Michael McCracken.  McCracken is one of the founders of Informetrica Limited, a Canadian-based economic research and information company, which provides long-term national, provincial, and industrial forecasts to companies, governments, and other organizations across Canada and abroad.

What: Community Dialogue on Economic Priorities

When: January 24, 2009, 10 am to 2 pm

Where: The Bronson Centre, 211 Bronson Avenue

“Canadians are looking for solutions to the economic crisis, but in the fall fiscal update, the Conservatives failed to provide solutions to help stimulate the economy and they have failed to consult Canadians” said Dewar.  “This community dialogue will give us the opportunity to hear from the community about their ideas so that we can bring those ideas to the House of Commons”.

Un économiste de renom, M. Michael McCracken, amorcera la séance de dialogue en présentant un exposé. M. McCracken est l’un des fondateurs d’Informetrica Limited, une société canadienne de recherche et d’information économiques spécialisée dans la préparation de prévisions économiques nationales, provinciales et industrielles à long terme à la demande des gouvernements et d’autres organisations au Canada et à l’étranger.

Le dialogue communautaire actuel permettra à la collectivité d’exprimer ses idées pour que nous puissions les transmettre à la Chambre des communes. »
